How to Change System Brightness on Windows 11
Method 1: Using keyboard hotkeys
This is the easiest method to adjust your system brightness if your keyboard has dedicated hotkeys.
For this, look for brightness icon on your keyboard. These can mostly be located in Function or Fn keys. You can simply use these keys or use a combination of Fn + Brightness key to adjust the brightness of your device. The latter can be used because the key will act as a function key unless used with the Fn key as a modifier to use its alternative function.
Method 2: Using Settings
1. Open Settings app directly or by pressing Windows + I keys together.
2. Select System from the left, followed by selecting Display from the right.
3. Now, click on the slider and adjust your screen Brightness.
Method 3:Using Action Center to Change System Brightness
1. Start by pressing Windows + A keys together to launch the action center.
2. Now, click on the slider and adjust your screen brightness as per your need.
Method 4: Using PowerShell
This method can be used if you are facing driver issues or you don’t have a brightness slider.
1. Open Run by pressing Windows + R keys together.
2. Enter command powershell and press OK.
3. Now, copy and paste the below mentioned command by replacing BrightnessValue with a number between 1 to 100. Here, 1 being the lowest brightness level whole 100 being the highest.

4. Use exit command to exit PowerShell.
Method 5: Using Mobility Center
1. Start by pressing Windows + X keys together followed by selecting Mobility Center.
2. Now, use the slider under Display brightness to adjust the brightness of your device.
Method 6: Using Command Prompt
1. Open Run by pressing Windows + R keys together.
2. Enter command cmd and press OK.
3. Now, copy and paste the below mentioned command by replacing BrightnessValue with a number between 1 to 100. Here, 1 being the lowest brightness level whole 100 being the highest.

4. Use exit command to exit Command Prompt.
Method 7: Let Windows adjust brightness automatically
1. Open Settings app directly or by pressing Windows + I keys together.
2. Select System from the left, followed by selecting Display from the right.
3. Now, expand Brightness by clicking the arrow beside it.
4. Check on the box for Change brightness automatically when lighting changes.
Method 8: Using third-party apps
A variety of third party apps in your computer can easily be used to Change System Brightness of your Windows 11 device. Some of these are Win10 Brightness slider, Dimmer, Gammy, CareUEyes, Brightness Tray, and several others.
