Features Removed In Windows 10 V2004
Following are the features that will be removed when you upgrade to V2004 from your existing version:
1. Skills removed from Cortana:
With V2004 there are many improvements offered for Cortana. However, previously available consumer skills like music, connected home, and other non-Microsoft are removed in V2004.
2. Windows To Go:
With Windows 10 Version 1903, Microsoft announced Windows To Go as a feature being no longer developed. With V2004, the feature is finally removed from Windows 10.
3. Mobile Plans and Messaging apps:
If you’ve non-cellular device, then these apps will be removed with V2004. However, those apps are still supported and available to OEMs for distributing only on cellular devices.
Features Deprecated In Windows 10 V2004
Here is the list of features that are no longer developed and announced as deprecated with this version:
1. Microsoft Edge:
The legacy version of Microsoft Edge is no longer being developed by Microsoft. Previously in this year, the company released new Edge Chromium browser and company is focused on developing it further.
2. Dynamic Disks:
We already know that dynamic disks are deprecated in current scenario and Microsoft has no officially close development of this feature. Storages spaces will be the feature replacement of dynamic disks.
3. Windows Hello Companion Device Framework:
Companion Device Framework (CDF) is basically used enhance the user authentication experience with Windows Hello. Microsoft is no longer developing this framework now.
