2. After that, copy and paste the following command into the elevated Windows PowerShell:
Set-MpPreference -MeteredConnectionUpdates 1
Once done, hit the Enter key to execute the command. This will enable this feature in Windows 11 successfully.
3. Now, you can close Windows PowerShell.
Method 2: Enable Microsoft Defender Updates Over Metered Connections through Registry Editor
1. Firstly, open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows + R tabs together on your keyboard. After that, type regedit in the dialog box to open Registry Editor.
2. Once done, go to the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Signature Updates
